In honor of rapper Young Dolph who passed away a short time ago, a street in his hometown got its name. The road sign was unveiled at a public ceremony on Dunn Avenue between Airways Boulevard and Hays Road near Memphis Depot Industrial Park. The street in his Castalia Heights neighborhood has now been officially named: Adolph “Young Dolph” Thornton, Jr. Avenue. Young Dolph’s family and friends have also hosted a memorial service at the Memphis FedEx Forum from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Young Dolph was shot and killed at the age of 36 about a mile from where the road is already named.
