The Registration Academy on Tuesday announced the nominees for the 64th edition of the Grammy Awards, which will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 31st.
The Grammys will look a little different this year, as the four major categories: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best New Artist, will now feature 10 nominations each instead of eight nominations they usually have.
At the top of this year is Jon Batiste, whose album “We Are” helped him secure 11 outstanding nominations, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Best R&B Album.
Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and H.E.R count from eight nominations, while Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo will go to the Grammy night with seven each.
This marks the third year in a row that Eilish is nominated for record of the year, song of the year and best solo pop performance, while Rodrigo is also ready to make history. If she wins the categories in which she is nominated, she will be declared the second female and the second youngest person to have done so.
Meanwhile, JAY-Z’s three nominations this year also secured him a place in the history books with a new total of 83 career nominations. He has surpassed Quincy Jones for the title of most Grammy nominee of all time. Paul McCartney’s two temptations this year make him the second most nominated artist of all time, with 81 such.
Below you will read the full list of nominations.
