Recently, the video clip of the song “Hold Me Closer” by Elton John and Britney Spears has been published. Filmed in Mexico City, the “Hold Me Close” video was directed by director Tanu Muino. His previous collaborations are with other very famous artists such as: “Montero” by Lil Nas X, “As It Was” by Harry Styles, “Up” by Cardi B, “Fleabag” by Yungblud and “Rumors” by Lizzo -s, among others. Britney and Elton are not in the clip.

“Elton John is an icon that I and the world grew up listening to.” Muino revealed that he planned to go in an “unexpected” direction with the video concept. “I knew there would be a lot of expectations. With this responsibility, I had to do something different and unexpected. The visuals had to be different. The dance was meant to make John and Spears proud. We shot through all of my favorite architectural spots in Mexico City. “Getting the best dancers, crew and access to some of the most private locations in the world was easy as everyone wanted to work with Elton John and be part of his legacy,” the director added.

News of the collaboration broke in July, when it was revealed that John and Spears had recorded a collaboration. Their duet was released on August 26 and is an update of the hit, “Tiny Dancer”.
