Kim and Kanye, one of showbiz’s most famous and rumored couples for years began dating in 2012 and got married in May 2014. They already have four children, North eight years old, Saint, six years old, Chicago-four years old and Psalm two years old. The entrepreneur has also been briefly married to Kris Humphries in 2011 and Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2003. She is currently in a relationship with Pete Davidson, while Kanye has recently been in a relationship with model Chaney Jones.

Their marriage initially plunged into crisis at the height of the West’s public outbursts in 2020 after he launched a controversial bid for president of the United States and revealed deeply personal details about his family and marriage on the campaign trail and on Twitter. At the time, Kardashian addressed his diagnosis of bipolar disorder in a rare public statement, urging fans to “compassionate” and acknowledging their “complicated and painful” situation.

Kardashian then filed for divorce from West in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage. Months later, in December, she sought to declare herself legally single. She also demanded that custody and property issues of the child be separated from her marital status and that her maiden name be restored.

In the latest court documents, filed on February 23, Kardashian said: “I really want to get a divorce. I have asked Kanye to keep our divorce private, but he has not done so. Kanye has given a lot of misinformation about private family matters and co-parenting on social media that has created emotional distress.I believe the court that ends our marital status will help Kanye accept that our marital relationship is over and move on to a better path which “Co-parenting of our children will help us in peace.”

According to some media sources Kim and Kanye are now legally divorced where Kim has also chosen to remove “West” from her last name. Kanye’s lawyer, Chris Melcher, also demanded reimbursement of funds to be allocated “in the event of one of them dying,” a condition the judge accepted. However, the judge denied the claims regarding the assets Kim has in trust and that if the 41-year-old chooses to remarry, she will “give up marital privilege”.
