Actor Johnny Depp and guitarist Jeff Beck are being accused of plagiarism in their new music collaboration. Depp and Beck released an album called 18 last month, weeks after the actor won his defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard. According to Rolling Stone, one of the songs features Depp reciting a poem by a convicted murderer named Slim Wilson in 1964.

The poems, called “Toasts,” were recorded by folklorist Bruce Jackson while Wilson was incarcerated.

According to Jackson, the actor and guitarist used the poem without his knowledge in the song “Sad Mother—–n’ Parade.”

The only two lines I could find in the entire work that Depp and Beck contributed are ‘Big time motherf—-r’ and ‘Bust it down,’ Jackson said.

“Everything else is from Slim’s performance published in my book. I have never come across anything like this. I’ve been publishing stuff for 50 years, and this is the first time someone has taken something of mine and put their name on it.” – was this accusation against Depp and Beck.
