The much-talked-about story from the trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is being turned into a movie. Hot take The Depp/Heard Trial will talk about the legal battle and their relationship. Mark Hapka will star as Depp and Megan Davis will portray Heard. Melissa Marty will play Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez while Marry Carrig will appear as Heard’s adviser Elaine Bredehoft. Guy Nicolucci wrote the film and Sara Lohman will direct. With partners at MarVista, Original Tube will produce the story that was watched by millions and made headlines over the summer,” said Nicolucci. Released by Fox Entertainment studio MarVista Entertainment, Hot Take will premiere on Tube on September 30.

To recap a little and the story of how it happened, on June 1, a jury in Fairfax County, Virginia, found that Heard defamed Johnny Depp in her 2018 article. He was awarded more than $10 million in damages. After the verdict, Depp said in a statement that the jury “gave me my life back.” Meanwhile, Heard called it an unfair decision.
