For all the people who haven’t heard of “Squid Game”, which should be very little or none at all, Squid Game has become the most watched series ever on Netflix. In less than four weeks, the south Korean series has become the most popular ever attracting 111 million fans. TheKorean drama series “Squid Game”, follows 456 desperate contestants who compete with each other in a mysterious and deadly survival challenge involving multiple rounds of childhood games. The good news from this challenge is that if they win they get 36 million $ that can help them to pay off their debts, and the bad news is that if you don’t win, you pay with your life and die. The director of the series said in an interview that: “Squid Game was the most physically aggressive childhood game I played in neighborhood alleys as a kid, which is why I also loved the most. In a way, it’s the most symbolic game that reflects today’s competitive society so I picked it out as the show’s title.” Also this serial conveys to the viewer very important lessons in life as:
- Don’t rush things. Everything will fall into place.
- If you want to win in life, you must learn to listen.
- Life is short, have some fun.
- Be honest and never betray your friends.
- Always keep your promises.
- Money is not everything!
Except the important lessons in life that this serial conveys, there’s something disturbing for the parents of children who are under 15. Many schools around the world have warned parents not to allow children to watch this series because it is a series that includes scenes of violence where children are inspired to imitate them later, which is not appropriate at all in their formation neither in their education.
