OSCARS 2022- The movie “CODA” is announced as the “best movie”.

Directed and written by Sian Heder, “CODA” was announced the winner of the “Best Picture” award at the Oscars 2022. “CODA” “CODA” (Child of Deaf Adults) based on the 2014 French film, “La Famille Bélier “, is a film that focuses on deaf people and their efforts to understand the world. At the center of the film is a family where both parents (Troy Kotsur and Marlee Matlin) try to understand the teenage girl’s dreams, Ruby (Emilia Jones) who wants to become a singer.

“CODA” was also nominated for “Best Actor in a Non-Protagonist Role” and “Best Adapted Screenplay”, where he was also declared the winner in these awards. Meanwhile actor Troy Kotsur went down in history as the first male actor from the deaf community to win an Oscar. He was announced last night as the winner of the award “Best Actor in a Non-Protagonist Role”. Also the first from this community to win an Oscar was actress Marlee Matlin, who also plays in “CODA”. She won an Oscar in 1987 for “Best Actress” for her role in “Children of a Lesser God.”
