Alec Baldwin, the actor who inadvertently became the cause of a tragedy in the shooting continues to be investigated by the authorities, while they have revealed that Baldwin was given a gun loaded by the assistant director. The actor had taken the gun after being assured by him that it was safe to use, before Alec fatally shooted the filmmaker Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.
The filmmaker who lost her life was shot in the chest and the director who was behind her was injured, but out of danger for life. It is not yet known how the weapon that was supposed to be safe for filming, led to such a tragedy but authorities are investigating, they’re taking as evidence not only the weapon, but also the bloody costume that the actor wore for the movie scene “Rust”. The actor declared yesterday through a status on Twitter about his shock after the accident. He said: “There are no words to convey my shock and grief over the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a woman, extremely admired mother and colleague. I am fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy happened and I am in contact with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. I am heartbroken for her husband, their son and all those who knew and loved Halyna. ”
Meanwhile, according to police there is no immediate charge against the actor and he is free to move despite the fact that the investigation will continue to be open. Also the “inconsolable” situation in which Alec Baldwin got involved has caused the actor to give up other projects. The media suggests that for now, Alec has suspended any kind of project and needs to take time to focus on himself.
