Always appreciated by artists, fans and all the people around him, for his generosity and his personality, actor Keanu Reeves has made one of the biggest donations so far.

Behind this donation is hidden a very personal story of the actor, where it is learned that his little sister Kim was diagnosed in 1991 with leukemia, which she had fought for 10 years. The devotion to his sister made the actor sell his house to be closer to her and the filming of “The Matrix” was postponed. He also reportedly spent $ 5 million on therapy to help Kim recover. At that time he also founded a charity to support and help all children and people with cancer which still continues to work today.

Keanu Reeves himself was paid $ 10 million and won $ 35 million in total for his first film “The matrix”, where he has already donated 70% of his profit to enable further research on leukemia.

Keanu Reeves started the founding of his cancer foundation without making it known to the public for years, until in an interview he said that:

“I have a private foundation that has been operating for five or six years and comes to the aid of some children’s hospitals and cancer research. I do not like to attach my name, I just let the foundation do what it does.”

Not just for people in need but Reeves just a few months ago donated a Rolex Submariner to all the guys on his team, as a token of gratitude for their tireless filming work.

Keanu Reeves has always been considered one of Hollywood’s most humane characters.
