Kanye West is reportedly facing consequences for his recent online activity. 44-year-old rapper Kanye West has temporarily closed his Instagram account and will not be able to post, comment or send messages. Kanye West has publicly attacked his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, her boyfriend Pete Davidson and Trevor Noah through the platform. A spokesman for Meta, the parent company for Instagram, told the media that West’s recent posts violated the platform’s policies on hate speech and harassment, resulting in a 24-hour ban on use. The most recent example of West abusive activity was a racial blasphemy allegedly left on Trevor Noah’s site. West’s online attack on the comedian comes after Noah commented on Tuesday night about the separation of the artist from Kim Kardashian and the way the rapper treated her between their divorce. Meta’s spokesman also told TMZ that the company is prepared to take additional steps if further violations occur in the future. His latest abusive West posts on social media also include posting two music videos with his new song “Eazy”, both of which portray a resemblance to Pete Davidson, Kardashian’s boyfriend, being abused and tortured.
Following these posts, there were also reactions in the comments from Kim Kardashian herself.
Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021 after seven years of marriage. She and rapper Donda have four children: girls North and Chicago, 4 years old and boys Saint 6 years old and Psalm 2 years old. The mother of four formalized her relationship with Pete Davidson on Instagram on March 11, more than a week after she was declared legally single in the midst of her West divorce. She and Davidson made headlines for the first time in October 2021 after sharing a kiss during a sketch on SNL when Kardashian made her debut as a presenter.
