The world-famous festival will return to the Empire Polo Club in Indio in 2019 when it last took place and was further discontinued due to the pandemic. Coachella 2022 will take place over the weekends from April 15 to 17 and April 22 and 23.
Following last year’s suggestions that the Swedish House Mafia would be the main performers who would close the show it has already been learned that 44-year-old rap legend Kanye West and 20-year-old Grammy winner Billie Eilish will perform at the end. In October, an image of the Swedish House Mafia trio, consisting of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello, was posted on Coachella’s official social media sites, sparking speculation that the creators of the hit “Do not worry child” would perform at the festival. Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion had also been previously confirmed for their participation in the festival. Meanwhile Travis Scott’s participation was canceled due to the tragedy that occurred at his Astroworld festival where many people lost their lives and hundreds more were injured.
For all persons who will closely see the festival will have to follow the safety rules by presenting a negative pcr test valid for 48 hours or the vaccination passport. However, with the rise of Omicron cases, it is not known if the festival will take place on the published dates and if entry requirements will change.
