The MTV EMAS 2021 Awards Ceremony was held on Sunday in Budapest, Hungary under the moderation of Saweetie for this edition. The winners were numerous, ranging from global BTS superstars to pop icons Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift, 2021 Eurovision champions Måneski, Singapore Mandopop star JJ Lin and pop singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo.
“Bad habits” by Ed Sheeran presented several major awards to the 30-year-old English megayle, giving him the awards for “Best Artist” and “Best Song”. The taste of victory during the electrifying spectacle was also enjoyed by Lil Nas X, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, Maluma and Saweetie herself. However, it was BTS, the Croatian band that had the most beautiful part of the evening, taking a total of four wins in the categories including “Best Song”, “Best K-Pop”, “Best Group” and “Fans” bigger”.

The category “Best Video” won Lil Nas X – MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name), “Best Collaboration” was announced by Doja Cat ft. SZA- Kiss Me More “Best New Song” was won by S and “Best Electronic Song” was won by David Guetta.
“Best Rock Song” was won by the Italian band that also won this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Munich, “Best Alternative Song” was won by YUNGBLUD, “Best Latin Song” was won by Maluma and “Best Hip Song” Hop” was won by Nicki Minaj.
“Best K-Pop” was won by BTS who also won the “Best Band” category as well as “Biggest Fans”. “Best Push” was won by Olivia Rodrigo, “Best Video” was by Billie Eilish – Your Power and “MTV EMA Generation Change” was won by Viktória Radványi.
Also, the famous Albanian singer Gjon Muharremaj has scored a victory in “MTV EMA”. Muharremaj is a well-known singer in both Albania and Switzerland, after winning third place at Eurovision. Recently, the singer has achieved another success by scoring a victory at the “MTV Europe Music Awards”. Through an Instagram post, Gjoni has shown that he has won the “Best Swiss Act” award at “MTV EMA”. Thanks to the people who supported him and his fans, he also shared some photos on instagram.
